HP Cluster Platforms

Clustering is simple and fast with HP Cluster Platforms, the foundation of the Unified Cluster Portfolio.  These systems combine the flexibility of a custom solution with the simplicity, reliability and value of a preconfigured, factory-built product .Get started with HP Cluster Platform Express.

  • Broad choice of processors, cluster interconnects and middleware
  • Factory integrated and tested, with final on-site installation
  • Choice of packaging styles: dense or expandable modular design up to 1024 nodes
  • Backed by HP warranty and support, and built to uniform, worldwide specifications
  • Comprehensive software selection, tested and verified by HP and/or its partners
  • Rapid deployment services, including optional software installation, on-site training and implementation support
  •  Workgroup System option – up to 1.5 teraflop/s of computing in a footprint of only two square feet!

NEW: Two-in-one server blade packs performance and conquers space!

Packaging

The Cluster Platform X000 models are offered in two packaging styles: bounded systems in dense configurations (smallest number of racks possible) or module solutions that can be expanded to 1024 interconnected nodes. The BladeSystem-based HP Cluster Platforms are available with up to 512 compute nodes. The Cluster Platform Workgroup System is available as a standalone tower on wheels, with up to 8 blades, or rackmounted in 22U rack with up to 8 blades and an optional head node.

Dense configurations

The Dense packaging for 1 U systems is available up to 128 nodes and is designed for lowest solution footprint and optimized cost infrastructure. Up to 32 nodes of 1U servers can be integrated into single cabinet solution, 4 cabinets required for 128 nodes.

Modular configurations

Integrated “building blocks” separate the compute resources from the interconnect and console tasks and the storage. Each building block is an individual rack, integrated with the specified components. Compute nodes are housed in racks of Compute Building Blocks; Interconnect Building Blocks contain the interconnect switches; Utility Building Blocks and Expansion Racks contain management components, such as the control node and other nodes supporting administrative functions, and optional monitor and keyboard.
