InfiniBand support for HP ProLiant and HP Integrity servers

HP supports InfiniBand products that include Host Channel Adapters (HCA), switches, and cables for HP ProLiant servers, HP Integrity servers, and the HP BladeSystem c-Class.  InfiniBand interconnect can also be selected as an option for the HP Cluster Platform, HP Cluster Platform Express, and HP Cluster Platform Workgroup System.  

HP supports the following InfiniBand Host Channel Adapters (HCA)  for the selected HP ProLiant and Integrity servers

• HP IB 4X DDR Conn-X PCI-e Dual-port HCA  
• HP IB 4X DDR Conn-X PCI-e G2 Dual-port HCA 
• HP IB 4X DDR PCI-e Dual-port HCA 
• HP IB 4X DDR PCI-e Dual-port memory free HCA 

HP qualifies and resells InfiniBand switches from Voltaire and Cisco. 

The Voltaire switch products include 24-port, 96-port, and 288-port DDR switches. 

The Cisco switch products include 24-port, 144-port, and 288-port DDR switches. 

HP also markets and sells InfiniBand copper and fiber optic cables for building the 4X DDR InfiniBand fabrics.

HP-MPI is a high performance and production quality implementation of the Message-Passing Interface (MPI) standard for HP servers, blades and workstations.  HP-MPI is supported on InfiniBand products from HP.

• 4X DDR InfiniBand products for the HP ProLiant servers, Integrity servers  and the HP BladeSystem c-Class are primarily for high performance computing customers who want to deploy scale-out solutions that require high bandwidth and low latency interconnect.
